I'm so glad I'm getting a chance to do this! Liberty Jane Design Academy is all about learning the principles of clothing design specifically for play dolls like American Girl. It's something I've been really wanting to do ever since I started up Little Raven Creations, but wasn't sure how soon I'd be able to. Well it's a go now--classes begin tomorrow, and I'm pretty hyped about it.

Truth is I always loved designing my own stuff--that included fantasy, sci-fi, and even historical fashions while I was growing up. So it seems like the next step is to learn to do it like a pro and make some original and completely cool designs for my dolls that I can hopefully share with everyone who is interested. Because while I can sew doll clothes till the cows come home, designing professional looking, original doll fashions that work is the real dream here.

So I'm pretty anxious to see how this pans out begining tomorrow. I guess I'll see the newer, cooler me on the other side at the end of February.
