LRC Custom and Molly McIntire

Two random dolls, because reasons. . .
Today my two randoms are this Little Raven Custom doll and of course, American Girl doll Molly McIntire.
The custom cutie with the pout has the Secrist "Button" sculpt and a long wavy brown wig from Monique that she is just all about!
Molly McIntire came to me a few years ago during her retire from American Girl. She was my first ever American Girl doll, and the doll that kicked off my 18" girl obsession. . .

Creatology Modern Girl

Modern Girls by Creatology made their first appearance at Michaels craft stores sometime in late 2015.  They were originally brought in as a seasonal item and sold alongside the Springfield Collection dolls that had been previously sold there. Since then, Modern Girl dolls have continued to be sold through Michaels.

Review: Positively Perfect Brianna

Positively Perfect dolls have a new look and are making the rounds at stores and online markets like Target, Walmart, and Amazon. Originally created by World of EPI, Funrise Toys has updated the dolls and the original message for girls of color that they are "smart and pretty" to now include Caucasian girls and to promote the philosophy that "standing out is totally in."

More Divah Stuff

I'm still Positively Perfecting it up this week: for starters I got one of the brand new collection Positively Perfect dolls to review, and I was kind of surprised at the final assessment! I'll be talking all about that in more detail soon.

More immediately however, is that after two or three years of searching, I finally got my hands on the original Taylor!

Review: Our Generation Rafael

This week I'm really happy to be reviewing Target's Our Generation new boy doll Rafael!

Rafael is pretty special because he's the first ever Our Generation boy doll. He's not, however, the first boy from Battat, the company who makes Our Generation dolls. In the 1990s, Battat had another 18" doll collection called Collector's Lane Kids, which included one boy doll and four girl dolls. [node:read-more:link]

New "Divahs" at Funrise Toys

Funrise Toys is launching the new line of Positively Perfect dolls. "Motivated by the dreams and efforts of Dr. Lisa Williams, this collection of dolls encourages girls to embrace their unique qualities and personalities by standing behind who they are!"

The collection includes six dolls of African American, Hispanic, and Caucasian ethnicity, and sends the message that "Standing out is totally in!"

Review: My Life As School Boy (Blond)

Last year's debut of My Life As School Boy dolls by CItyToy stirred up the 18" boy doll market with their two school boys, giving AG's Logan Everett a run for his money. I reviewed them here.

This year My Life As has two more School Boys, this time in a bookish or preppy theme, as opposed to the sporty/ urban theme of last year's boys. I was able to pick up the blond boy this week to review.
