14" Style Girls Makeover
Submitted by Little Raven on Thu, 2019-12-26 19:42Style Girls Piper and Quinn visited my work table this month and got a deluxe makeover just in time for the new year. It's getting to be a tradition to close out the year with something Style Girls related. I didn't plan it that way during the last few years; it's just sort of happened. [node:read-more:link]
Asian Cultural Clothing: Dressing my 18" Twinns Part III
Submitted by Little Raven on Sun, 2019-07-21 08:46In Part II of Dressing my 18" Twinns, I talked about cobbling together an 18" pattern for a Hanfu style dress for my Twinn Cai.
Meanwhile, in this final chapter to what's been a slightly epic project, the last of my 18" Twinn rescues, Pearl, gets her Asian cultural clothing and hairstyle. [node:read-more:link]
Fixing Kim
Submitted by Little Raven on Tue, 2019-04-16 13:58My Twinn 18" Kim is the final rescue doll of the My Twinn rescue project.
I can't say how happy I am to have made it to this point after three challenging rescues over the last couple of months (and several years planning). 18" Twinns Berkeley, Cai, and Pearl are all the better for it too, and Kim has been patiently waiting in the wings to join them. Submitted by Little Raven on Wed, 2019-03-27 19:18With both Berkeley and Cai successfully remade, it was time to look at My Twinn 18" Pearl and see what I could do to make her whole again too. [node:read-more:link]
Fixing Cai Part II
Submitted by Little Raven on Wed, 2019-03-20 12:53In part I of my Fixing Cai series, I wrote about some of the more complicated TLC that this 18" My Twinn doll needed, including removing her factory wig glue (with varying sucess) and minimizing some damage around her eyes.
I think that getting through these tough parts of Cai's repair was largely a success. . . [node:read-more:link]
Fixing Cai Part I
Submitted by Little Raven on Mon, 2019-03-18 19:32Sorry again for the poor quality images but yeah, I'm still having to use my phone camera and sometimes it's not too pretty.
This week I'm working on My Twinn 18" Cai. Cai was the last of the four Twins I collected for the My Twinn project I'm currently working on. [node:read-more:link]
Fixing Berkeley Part II
Submitted by Little Raven on Sun, 2019-03-10 21:40
In part I of the My Twinn Rescue series, I wrote about 18" My Twinn Berkeley's complicated eye history and then related my two-day adventure to clean up, comb out, and flat-iron Berkeley's really long, really tangled curls.
Now it's time to start looking at Berkeley's face. . . [node:read-more:link]
Fixing Berkeley Part I
Submitted by Little Raven on Wed, 2019-02-27 12:50I'm starting with Berkeley for my Four Twinn Rescue project. I'm starting with her because she was the first of the four My Twinn rescues I collected starting in late 2015. She wasn't exactly a rescue then however; she was new. I bought her as My Twinn was closing its doors and dropping prices on all its 18" dolls. [node:read-more:link]
