Style Girls Get Style
After 14" Style Girls Piper and Quinn got a new faceup for the new year, I thought they needed some new fashions to go with it. So I whipped up a couple of fun, flirty outfits for them along with some doll size jewelry.
Quinn got a little flared schoolgirl mini skirt with a crop top sweater. I knew what I had in mind for her and fortunately I happened to have some fabric scraps that fit the bill.
I paired the look with some white thigh high stockings and brown laceup boots.
Piper got a pair of short shorts with a sleeveless white blouse with long shirt tails and a dark gray pullover sweater.
It has kind of schoolboy/ schoolgirl charm and matches well with Quinn's schoolgirl look. Gray-black thigh highs and black lace-up boots complete her look.
Admittedly I didn't have much time to get make these outfits, so they may not my best work, but they're cute enough anyway.
I also wanted to pierce their ears and make earrings because I love pierced dolls with bling! (At some point I'm going to create a punk theme for one of my 14" Style Girls, and give them multiple piercings because I love punk everything.) For Quinn I used some goldtone ear studs and created a little gem dangle.
Next I made a gold moon pendant from a bracelet charm.
For Piper, I made these cute silver leaf earings (based on a Barbie earrings tutorial I found).
For her necklace I wanted something a little more casual than Quinn's and originally I planned on a partially beaded, partially chain leaf pendant. But because I was trying to get the outfits done before the new year, I didn't have quite the time for complex beading. So I just used three different chains to create the pendant. It turned out well enough and she looks cute in it.
Piper and Quinn look like fashionable best friends all set for the new year.
And I can call my 14" Style Girls test project done! Happy New Year all!
